BIOGRAPHY  

MichaeI Anderson, b. Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 1951, has been an artist, illustrator & designer for over 35 years. Prior to establishing Michael Anderson Studio in 1983 he was employed as a display designer and a graphic artist. Collaboration with designers and architects to develop their ideas for interior environments and decorative arts in sketches, drawings and digital illustrations is a specialty.  

Recent professional experience includes completion of conceptual sketches for a series of diverse projects & clients including the St. Louis Science Center, Biltmore Estate Winery, Mount Pleasant Winery and the Seattle Center Space Needle. Formal architectural renderings by Michael Anderson have been published in books, magazines and numerous ads, brochures and design presentations. Other corporate clients and projects include Six Flags Theme Parks, St. Louis Blues Hockey Club, A.G. Edwards, United Parcel Service, Pinnacle Entertainment, Fulford Homes, Anheuser-Busch, Inc. and Major League Baseball's 2009 All-Star Game.    

Works of art by Michael Anderson have been exhibited at Washington University, St. Louis; MO. Southwestern Illinois College, Belleville, IL and the St. Louis Artists Guild. His paintings, drawings and watercolors are included in numerous personal collections as well as the permanent collections of Southwestern Illinois College Foundation, the St. Louis Zoo and the City of Belleville, IL.. Awards include Dona Weder Abbott Award For Artistic Excellence(Highland Arts Council), the Kirchner Memorial Award For Transparent Watercolor(Gateway East Artists' Guild) and the 2008 Big Splash Juror's Choice(St. Louis Watercolor Society).
