Pecha Kucha Night is an event for designers and other creatives to meet, network, and show their work in public. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of “chit chat”, it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: each speaker shows 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The format makes presentations concise and keeps things moving at a rapid pace. On Thursday evening an audience of nearly 300 gathered at the Mad Art Gallery in the Soulard neighborhood for PKSTL #3 to hear artists, entrepreneurs, designers and “other people with bold or crazy ideas” share their thoughts and slides. David’s top hat, formal graphic tshirt and dreadlocks were definetly sketchworthy. He introduced Climb SoiLL, a concept for an indoor rock climbing facility with climbing structures that look more like modern sculptures than actual rock walls. Mad Art Gallery is in a former art-deco style police station. The elegant rehab includes a multi-purpose exhibition space with a full bar for art, film and performance.

We’d love to have more artists present ideas to the PK site for future events! http://www.pkstl.com
Bummer. I almost went last night, but had to do freelance work. Your illustration looks fun.
Awesome idea! Wow.
Thanks everyone for your great comments!
