All kinds of get togethers are held under the Victorian pavilions in Tower Grove Park. I propped my sketchbook on a stone wall and sketched this party scene from an unobtrusive distance. I might have painted more leaves on the overhanging branches but while I was sketching a stream of ants came crawling out of a crack in the wall and attacked my art supplies. I tried to brush them back but they kept on pouring out over my work. I gave up quickly but had just enough time to finish this small sketch. 7″ h x 9″w, waterbrush, 140lb Canson.

Dang! Michael! This is awesome! Nice job, man. Love all the people under the pavilion, too.
